A Hindu’s Letter to PM Narendramodi

It’s usual for Politicians with criminal cases to declare that they should be ultimately be judged by the People’s Court calked the Elections. This game helps them pretend that  they are thump sucking innocents and above any Law of the Land. And no Judiciary can slap their judgement on politicians as people’s court is superior as per their narrative. An average person can’t grasp that the Constitution and Laws are Superior to any democratic exercise. So politicians trust in the gullibility of people and in their own ability to fool people without accountability. Politicians are clever species who learnt the art of dividing people, uniting divisive forces, put up appealing arguments and pretend that they are your well wishers. Having spent enormous time with Politicians, I have understood that successful politicians possess that grave skill to impress you during a chat. Any simple man will fall for them by their suave manners. The talent to remove anyone’s underwear without re...

Why India needs Modi?

Smaller countries like Israel, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong are economic mights along with bigger USA, Germany, Japan, etc. Even China with a larger population than India and which had lesser GDP growth than India’s in 50s has rapidly moved ahead. Yet, despite some visible impact of Narendramodi Govt during the last five years, India has a long way to catch up with both China and USA. And though the percentage of poverty has fallen, the numbers to catch up still remain staggering. Thanks not just to the Mughal & British invaders but also to the friends of the British, the Congress Party of India.  How did some nations achieve so much? It was all about honesty in leadership, integrity, governance and standards. The quality of standards can change a society. China proved that staggering numbers could be turned into advantage, if people were trained, skilled, productive, hard working and committed. China benefited from being an authoritarian Govt that forced people to obey ...

The Curse of Congress & Why it is AntiIndian!

Some  have repeatedly accused me of purposefully hiding the great achievements of the great Congress party of India to India. They hold a long list of achievements, beginning with the independence movement. They call me a subterfuger and that is ironic because such hiding, twisting, manipulative skills were the key characters of most of Congress claims on India since her formation in 1885 as an elitist club and as a joint venture with Colonial British to seek jobs from the rulers. Congress was not launched to fight for India’s independence and an aura was later carefully created that the Party was launched to fight for India. Congress were Voluntary slaves of the British who crowned themselves as Saviours of India.  To those foreign to Indian political system, let’s clarify that Congress in India is a political party  and not some representative or democratic parliament as it was elsewhere. Congress Party was and is a Colonial legacy and was not antithetical to it. ...

How to read a newspaper?

Are you one of those who open main door first thing in the morning in search for your newspaper?  Do you get flustered if it hasn’t yet arrived?  Do you get glued to the paper unmindful of other happenings at home?  Then you surely have a mind that is habituated or addicted to newspaper. What we don’t realise is that our addictive mind searches for titillation or sensation that all addictions bring. Addictive newspaper reading under pretext of thirst for information and news could be one too. Newspaper addicts probably enjoy high sensations, are very argumentative, hold strong emotions and get impatient by even superficial logic.  I know that because I was an addict for five decades. Had read newspapers without fail and on some days, I read ten newspapers, in detail. I was addicted to newspapers and my profession compelled me to scan them every day for three to four hours, every working day. But recently, I unsubscribed to all and started enjoying my exis...

The Dutch loot - Part Two of European colonialism

Timelines for Hindu heritage and history often have proved challenging to the human mind and are often an expose of the limitations of mind. So too are the details of the appalling tragedies inflicted by greedy Europeans on Hindu civilisation as well as the earlier Muslim rulers. They have cleverly been erased by the invaders along with stupendous hindu achievements. Worse is that today hindu achievements are ridiculed as non existent while anything western is hailed as progressive including adultery. So, it happened to one of the six abodes of Lord Karthikeya popularly known as Lord Muruga, at Tiruchendur. A temple believed to have been carved out of rock on the style of Ellora now appears to be a shade of its wonderful past. The main guilty were the Dutch known today to the world as Netherlands. The Dutch after facing repeated defeats by Portughese were limited to Ceylon. In February 1649, the Dutch attacked Portughese in India and occupied Tiruchendur and Tuticorin. After the ...

EVR Periyar: A checkup on facts & propaganda

If you were ever revolted by the plethora of roadside statues in India, then credit for this ever rising craze should go to that one man tsunami that brought about that infamous “Statue Culture “ to EV Ramasamy Naicker known as Periyar to his followers. As was usual with Dravidian politics, this focus and obsession of statues  ironically began as an anti idol movement to reason out faith and beliefs of Hinduism to pamper to Islamic and Christian fundamentalists and as admiration of anything western.  Breaking of idols of Lord Ganesha in Salem when Congress ruled Tamilnadu and India during early 1950s didn’t elicit even murmurs of intolerance as Hindus were subdued for over a thousand years and Secular congress was a mere continuation of that colonial British rule that was indifferent and insensitive to majoritarian Hindu sentiments. EVR called Idols as lifeless stones and called out those beliefs of honouring and worshipping them as crass and superstitious. Because of fundam...
