Why DMK may lose again in Tamilnadu Elections 2021?

It was DMK Leader MK Stalin who recognised this impending defeat of DMK more than any other leader. Other parties were yet to realise that they stand a robust opportunity to have a go at Fort St George, the seat of power in Tamilnadu. While its tougher to regain power after two consecutive defeats for DMK, new parties often have high  energy at birth.

Giving up hope and trust on his own disgruntled cadres including many leaders who were sticking to DMK without choice despite being ill treated by the dynastic family, Stalin chose to opt for professional Election management agency, iPAC. The mind boggling cost of ₹350 crore for the project was based on the past credentials of company. To believe that a corporate agency can be solely be held responsible for BJP's ascendency in 2014 is naive. Modi rode on a wave disgruntled by the arrogance of CongressParty and the n number of scams of UPA. With the same organ running Elections for Congress in UP, Congress was white washed in the state Elections. Fact is cadre based DMK is now a cadre distrusting Party. This will backfire.

DMK has no charismatic leader now nor an orator like Karunanidhi now. Even Anbalagan has followed Karunanidhi. Stalin believes make-ups bring charisma. Charisma comes from within not makeups. It’s an innate thing. What now remains with DMK are outdated tactless crude tactics sticking to outdated policies on language chauvinism, state autonomy & Hindu hate. With some pliable paid journalists to support it. Times have changed but DMK continually  lives a happy cocoon.

Today's Tamilnadu has greater awareness on her Heritage, her past achievements thanks to the three musketeers, Rangaraj Pande, Maridas and Madan Ravichandran. No less were the contribution of H Raja and Mrs Soundararajan who braved abusers to create a larger than life image. The huge crowds for Athivaradhar were not religious. The response to abuses on Goddess Aandal were extraordinary. One cannot abuse Brahmins and get away law now. It was a political awakening that's sweeping Tamilnadu now. DMK is under estimating the Hindu revival and tries old bullying tactics to counter facts against them. Even minorities have seen through their games. Every habitual abuse of Hindus now receives a strong retort from the majority community now. By attacking Hindu traditions like Karunanidhi and EVR, Stalin has become the butt of jokes. Worst it's he who is feeling the heat. Being hated is one thing but to be laughed at as a Comedian who blabbers is worst. Tamilnadu knows that Stalin is not CM material and nowhere in history did a joker win Elections. Any Election. The option left to DMK is to create hate for ADMK govt as a failure. But Edappadi has proven to be the most able CM not just from ADMK but from the Dravidian movement. Not even Jayalalithaa and Karunanidhi can match his administrative skills. His Achilles heel was Covid but with more than six months before Elections, he has ability to turn tide. As he is no MGR, it's difficult for ADMK to return to power. He has a 50:50 chance, I reckon. He may opt to fall prey to DMK subterfuge on language chauvinism and BJP may leave his alliance. Maybe some other parties too. It will be a three cornered contest as it appears now in the Elections. Believe me the third faction may make grounds. To say BJP has no core support will be turning Nelson's eye to facts. Hindus have rallied behind Modi and every hate campaign against him is matched by vitriol unseen in contemporary Tamilnadu. If Rajnikanth enters Politics with his antidravidian theist Politics and if BJP joins hands with him, a surprise may be in the offing. BJP is a cadre Based party trained by RSS discipline. With the three musketeers propagandic support, the new found awareness amongst Hindus who have realised that they were not treated equals to Minorities, disgust with daily rowdy behaviour of DMK cadres and anti-incumbancy of ADMK, Tamilnadu may vote for change. Badly. The third faction has a 51:49 chance. Just watch DMK get desperate now as Elections near. If they lose forthcoming Elections, DMK will disappear like Congress in Tamilnadu. DMK will protest at whatever Modi and Edappadi does. Problem is people are not going to give serious attention to the barkings of a street dog that barks out of habit. They seek substance. Tamilnadu is not averse to Hindi nor her youth seek short cuts to success. It's a new Tamilnadu. Brave. Confident. Aware of enemies within. The state is home to APJ Abdul Kalam. Also to Sundar Pitchai, Indira Nooyi, Shiv Nadar, MS Swaminathan. Many more will come. Meritocracy will win. After 2021 Elections, new Tamilnadu will go full steam. I predict good things will happen.

Miracles of Mahaperiyava - Chapter I

Shri Chandrasekara Saraswathi of Kanchi Kamakoti Peetam , the finest among sages of the last millennia, continues to touch and heal the lives of believers going beyond the limitations of caste, religion, linguistics and nations. Devotees are struck in awe when incredible stories of His miracles are shared by Queens and Kings, Presidents and Prime Ministers as well by celebrities of many hue and colour. Having experienced His miracles first hand, I went about on a search to know the other common lives that were blessed by our Sage but hitherto were never revealed in public. This is compilation of a series of first hand reports. Hope you will be inspired by this narration. All the stories are real life incidents and are verifiable. Story #1 KBR worked in TVS group of companies at Madurai. A devotee of Mahaperiyava, he would visit him whenever work permitted but all his decisions centred on the grace of Mahaperiyava. His first child, a daughter was afflicted by polio and he thou

EVR Periyar: A checkup on facts & propaganda

If you were ever revolted by the plethora of roadside statues in India, then credit for this ever rising craze should go to that one man tsunami that brought about that infamous “Statue Culture “ to EV Ramasamy Naicker known as Periyar to his followers. As was usual with Dravidian politics, this focus and obsession of statues  ironically began as an anti idol movement to reason out faith and beliefs of Hinduism to pamper to Islamic and Christian fundamentalists and as admiration of anything western.  Breaking of idols of Lord Ganesha in Salem when Congress ruled Tamilnadu and India during early 1950s didn’t elicit even murmurs of intolerance as Hindus were subdued for over a thousand years and Secular congress was a mere continuation of that colonial British rule that was indifferent and insensitive to majoritarian Hindu sentiments. EVR called Idols as lifeless stones and called out those beliefs of honouring and worshipping them as crass and superstitious. Because of fundamental con

Recent Experience at Kamakshi’s abode Kanchipuram

After going through the trauma of spinal fractures & the surgery that followed it was my first visit to Kanchipuram in three years. Earlier I have had extensive contacts for darshan as a government official but this time we decided we will be just another ordinary disciples.  We had one Chandrasekar, a junior employee now retired to guide us to temples. When we reached Kamakshi temple, we found huge crowd of thousands. I was wondering how we will have darshan of Lokamata but was sure that She will find a way for us. I was apprehensive about standing in the queue as I was scared someone might push me and hurt my back inadvertently. As we paused in confusion, I found a friend who is a Judge of Madras High Court entering the temple in all paraphernalia with his family. I thought of shouting out for him but something deep down restrained me. Our chaperone Chandrasekhar made few honest phone calls and took us near the back door VIP entrance where a hundred were waiting for darshan. Sudd
